Who Can Join?
All Shepherd Park Plaza residents who are enthusiastic about contributing to the neighborhood are welcome to apply. No prior experience is required—just a willingness to learn and collaborate. You must be a dues paying member of the Shepherd Park Plaza Civic Club.
What is the difference between serving on a committee or on the board?
A committee member is typically event/project based, such as organizing BBQ Cook Off. The committee is lead by a board member, who is the committee chair. Volunteering on a committee is a good option for someone who cannot commit to the whole year or who is especially interested in one of our neighborhood events/projects.
What is the time commitment?
In addition to fulfilling the duties of the position/committee, Board members meet the first Wednesday evening of every month. The board role commitment is for 1 year (April - March).
How to Get Involved:
1. Review the descriptions of roles and responsibilities.
2. Submit an interest form. A current Civic Club Board member will reach out.
